The test is divided into several sections, each covering a topic in greater depth than the last. In addition to answering questions about your own knowledge, you must also answer questions about the medical concepts that are tested. To help your preparation, you should study the material on each section carefully. The more that you know about the topics covered, the easier it will be to answer the exam’s questions.
In the first section of the exam, you will be required to write an essay about a current medical event or procedure. The essay must be written entirely by you, with no input from a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, or counselor. The essay must be typed, and it should not have any graphics or photographs included in it. You may include a chart or graph, but only if you are able to provide reliable information about that particular event or procedure.
The second section of the exam is about your knowledge and understanding of the English language. In this section, you will be required to provide information that is directly related to the content of the essays in the first section. Your essay should provide a summary of the information given in the essay and a conclusion stating why you believe that the information provided is true. If the information provided in the essay conflicts with the conclusion of your conclusion, you may have to revise your conclusion in order to present a more reasonable argument.
In the third section, you will be required to write an oral history about a medical condition or event that was personally experienced by you. Your essay should include a detailed account of the events or conditions that are related in your experience, including the date, time and place of the events. The fourth section of the exam is about your knowledge and understanding of health care law. This section of the exam requires you to write an essay based on information that is related to the information that you have learned about health care law in the first two sections of the exam. The essay will focus on medical practice and patient safety practices and patient education. It should also address issues concerning legal aspects of patient care such as the responsibilities of health care providers and the importance of patients and health care facilities to the overall health care system. The essay should answer the following question: “How do you feel about the way that current patient safety practices and patient education policies affect you and the patients that you work with?”
In order to prepare for this exam, you should enroll in an introductory course that includes at least two or three credits in health care law, preferably more. Also, you should take an elective course that takes up to six hours to complete and which covers the areas of the exam discussed in this article. Finally, you should consider taking an MCAT practice test and taking the MCAT practice test that is designed for preparation.
At the end of the exam, the Medical College Admission Council, or MCAT, evaluates your score. It will determine whether you’ve passed the exam and if you’re eligible to take the MCAT test that is administered by the College Board.
